Burgess Orchards Engagement Pictures | Alpine, UT Photographer

I love it when my clients suggest locations I’ve never been to before. I hadn’t even heard of the Burgess Orchards in Alpine, UT so I quickly did some research when Kenna suggested it for her engagement pictures. The deciding factor for me was hearing about these sweeping mountain views and they definitely did not disappoint. We also found a patch of wild flowers which resulted in some of my favorite pictures from this session and a grove of pine trees. Talk about variety!

Oh! The best part of this location? WE WERE THE ONLY ONE’S HERE! It was even a Friday night! I don’t know if its like that all the time or if we just got lucky but it was so much fun to have the place to ourselves.

Where are the Burgess Orchards?

They are in Alpine, UT just off Main Street. Honestly, they weren’t where I expected and we nearly blew right past them, thank heavens for GPS. You drive up past their stand and a few houses to a little area where you can park. There are peach trees on one side and if you walk back behind a little warehouse you arrive in the apple orchard which is where we spent most of our time.

How much does it cost?

It costs $50 to shoot at the Burgess Orchards and in my opinion its well worth it! Other orchards in the area charge around $20 but don’t have the mountain view or diversity! All you have to do is give them a call and they’ll let you know how to make the payment and then you can go anytime for your session.

When is the best time for blossoms?

That is a good question! I recommend calling the orchards directly as they know their trees and can give you the best estimate. We took these engagement pictures in the 2nd week of May and there were just a few apple blossoms left. A week or two earlier and the trees probably would have been in full bloom.

Where did Kenna get her dresses!?

I asked the same question and am seriously trying to come up with a reason to buy the white one. SO BEAUTIFUL! She got them online at Roolee.com. I’m not going to include the exact links because I have no idea how long they will carry these specific styles but they have so many cute dresses to choose from you really can’t go wrong!
