As a Gilbert Family Photographer I strive to do more than just take pictures, I want to capture the details that tell your story. This cute family was celebrating Baby E’s first birthday and brought so many sweet details to capture the essence of her personality at this adorable age.
Bow Tie the Stuffed Duck
My toddler has carried around a little tan dog named Piper since she got it as a present when she was 18 months old and before that it was a little monkey rattle name Nanas, so I know what a big role these little stuffed friends can play in your baby’s life. They brought Baby E’s favorite stuffed duck named Bow Tie and I loved it!
I love it when you bring their favorite things to sessions for a few reasons. 1) They help me get their attention and are a great reward. Baby E loved looking at me when Bow Tie was sitting on my head and enjoyed a quick cuddle break mid session. 2) It’s a detail that tells a story about their life right now. If your baby is never seen without her favorite blanket then a picture without it is telling a lie. I love to capture the real and the raw so stuffy’s, blankies, and pacifiers welcome!
Heirloom Baby Blanket
They also brought that beautiful quilt you see Baby E sitting on in a few of these pictures. It’s made from her mamas baby blanket that was made by her grandma. How sweet is that? I love that no matter what happens to that blanket now it forever immortalized in these images so she’ll always be able to remember it.
