San Tan Mountain Regional Park Family Pictures | Arizona Family Photographer
We visited Arizona over the weekend for a family baby blessing and I couldn’t resist squeezing in these San Tan Mountain Regional Park Family Pictures. The only time I had available was a sunrise session and it couldn’t have been more perfect! And to make things even better this is my second time working with my family and I love seeing how everyone has grown! To see how they (and I) have grown over the last 3ish years check out their Usery Pass Family Pictures from 2015.
What to wear for family pictures?
I love the way that Penny dressed her family! Neutrals are ALWAYS the best for pictures. Neutral tones like gray, white, tan, cream and light/pale blues are perfect and especially in a desert landscape.
Where is San Tan Mountain Regional Park?
The San Tan Valley Regional Park is a short 15-20 minute drive South of Queen Creek, AZ. It was perfect for our morning session because it was nice and close for this family, which is great when young kids are involved! If you’re in the Queen Creek area its a great alternative to some of the more popular phoenix locations. This park is over 10,000 acres of desert with hiking and biking trails throughout. The further you go down the trails the more cacti there are. But if you have small kids, like this family, there are plenty of great spots right around the parking lot. We were here in April and all the desert plants were flowering which made for a beautiful backdrop!
There is a $7 daily use fee for each vehicle you park in the lot.
