While my editing approach is similar across both, the way the images are created is different, and that naturally affects their look and feel. Please make sure you love the finished photographs themselves, not just the idea behind them. I want us both to be thrilled with your experience and the final gallery, and that starts with making sure we’re on the same page from the beginning.
Portrait sessions usually happen during golden hour, are styled, usually on location, and are gently posed/guided.

Documentary sessions can happen anytime, don’t require a special wardrobe, take place at home or wherever you already spend time, and are completely unposed and unprompted.

*Shorter sessions are possible, but I recommend at least 3 hours for an authentic look at everyday life. The more time you’re willing to invest, the more everyone relaxes and the more genuine the images become.
DOCUMENTARY PACKAGE
A full-year session is the most complete way to document your family’s life and how it changes over time. It includes 24 hours of coverage spread throughout the year, scheduled however you choose, capturing different seasons, milestones, and everyday rhythms. It’s a beautiful way to see not just a moment, but the story of your life as it unfolds across a full year.

DOCUMENTARY SESSION
Birth photography preserves the story of your baby’s arrival, from the anticipation and intensity of labor to the first moments you spend together. I’ll document the experience as it unfolds, capturing the strength, emotion, little details, and first connections.
Because I’m still raising my own young kids, I take on a very limited number of birth sessions each year. Each inquiry is considered individually to ensure we’re a good fit and that I can fully commit to being there for you when your baby arrives.
